Advertising
Advertising for me is a way wherein you can promote something. It can be considered as a very important vehicle of communication between the advertisers, the owners, the audience and the ordinary people. Advertising is also an art. It comprises creativity and critical thinking. For an ad to be effective and sold, advertisers must formulate catchy and unique ads for the audience to buy it. Advertising is a science, for it undergo a certain process for preparation to evaluation. It requires a systematic, step by step process that would bring about success that a single wrong move would greatly affect it.
1CA2 Magazine: "US.Time"
I was assigned to be one of the members of the promotion and circulation committee. But for a much better preparation I helped in looking for sponsors for us to have a budget for our magazine, too bad I didn’t found any. I helped in promoting our magazine and find ways to advertise it to my friends. It was fun. Also, I was also chosen to be one of the models of this great magazine. We used different kinds of clothes to make our photos colorful and we used retro as our theme.
I enjoy doing these things for our magazine and it was fun. Eventhough it was very tiring and time consuming, it still gives me smiles because of the bonding that we had and shared as we produce this project. For me this is an interesting magazine because it doesn’t only speak the voice of us teenagers but it also shows the reflection of our class. For me our magazine was a success, I don’t care what our grade is all I know is we did well and we tried our best.

Ito na ang TRIBU..

Independent Films are usually a low-budget film that is produced by a small movie studio. Additionally, the term is used to describe less commercially-driven art films which differ markedly from the norms of plot-driven. These films are often produced by subsidiaries of larger studios, as long as less than half of its budget comes from a major movie studio. Independent films are often distinguishable by their content or style. The writer or director's originalauthorial intent or personal creative vision is usually maintained in the final film.
Tribu, an independent film that was produced by Cinemalaya in the Cultutal Center of the Philippines was a good one. It shows the life of the teenagers in Tondo. It gives the viewers the idea of how our poor economy affect teens, especially those who are out of school youth. Poverty gave them the idea of rebelion in a way of builing such gangs and fraternities which they can rely on at times of trouble. It gives them power to be in control of their society. But this peer groups also give them their own trouble. With their fights and rebels against the government and other groups, several incidents happen in them and life is the price of this different struggles they face.
As compared to the Lumiere films, this particular particular independent film Tribu has more life. Many camera angles and shots were used to make the film. The different colors that we see literaly helps us to define the real color of the things in the film. As for the real story itself, Tribu opened our eyes to the idea that of the status of the life of teenagers in Tondo, which we doesn't see because of our selfishness. We are blinded by the words of other people that Tondo is a place of killers, criminals, and goons, but in reality they are just fighting for their right and justice which they cannot have/ achieve because of the dominance and selfishness of the authority.
In the Lumiere films which I find boring because of its dullness due to the single shot and camera angle used, there are only black and white colors which doesn't give the audience the real color of the things in the film. I cannot blame it because I know that they are only on the experimental stage. I know that they are not that advanced as compare to our technology today. The stories of their films are just the common thimgs that is happenning in their early living and it doesn't give the deep emotions that audience were looking for..
